Choosing American's best choice for Future : The Republican Side

10.10.2012

As you know, there will be a election in the United States of America. I thought It was interesting to have a view point on both side. I met one democrat and one Republican and I asked them 5 questions on their Belifefs related to their political choice.

For this side, the person wrote me a lot and I had to sum up as it might be clear to you. Want the entire inteview, feel free to ask me and I will send you the 5 pages interview.

If one wants to drop a first conclusion, it would be that the person quoted a lof of Bible Verses. But, Does that mean that Bible verses has to lead to good politics  ?

Why Are you a Republican?

I belong to the Republican party for two basic reasons. First, the party platform holds onto the Founders' ideal of a "small government" much better than the Democratic party does.

Secondly, efficiency! It's simply a question of not following an unsustainable and inefficient system like that of Sweden, (whose minister of Health, for example spoke on the LA radio a couple of years ago begging America NOT to try to follow the Swedish health care system--with not enough money to pay for the elderly and ration its care, and which taxes its people into leaving the country for good.) I.e. if the system crashes NO one is helped --that's just irresponsible.

No matter how "righteous" we may FEEL about ourselves--we will help no one if the "generous" system collapses. So it is a question of efficiency. Most often the Republicans are much more responsible fiscally--more principled and so they sound harsh--while liberal Democrats sound generous, but don't ever feel the need to say "I'm sorry" when their feelings-based plans result in terrible economic consequences, hurting millions of people. (e.g. we still don't have an apology from Democratic Congressman Barney Frank whose negligent leadership oversaw the lenience of mortgage lending policies which caused the housing/mortgage-banking crisis that ruined millions world wide!)

Are you a Republican because you're against a Democrat ? Do you Believe that Christian Values can be seen in that Side?

One could say that "Being liberal means never having to say your sorry," because liberals mean well and that's all that matters to them. I don't believe the Democrats think they are doing wrong, but their policies and lack of prudence in pursuit of what "feels good" is breaking the country down

I think that American Christianity made Ethics as the main issue, as the Republican are. in Europe, the Main Issue for Christian was Social. Do you agree/Disagree with that statement?

Barney Frank and his well intended bureaucrats allowed banks to loan money to people who were bad risks. And they broke faith with the American people. They have never apologized, there have been no inquiries, no indictments.

So...I agree that ethics are preeminent, for you can't have real social welfare without attention to ethics. you must be principled or the system breaks down and those who play by the rules get hurt just like those who don't as we saw with the banking crisis.

if Something could be missing for the Republican (e.g. : Social Values), what would it be ?

For number four I would like to elucidate you regarding a supreme American Value that I don't think Europeans appreciate. I mean, I don't think they think about it and fewer and fewer Americans, for that matter, are forgetting what it means. This is becoming more true as the media becomes more controlled by the liberal left.

Matt, in regards to question four, IF Republicans are seen as "uncaring" socially speaking, they are not being evaluated fairly, they aren't being judged properly in light of their protecting this value: liberty.

Only Liberty leads to true charity. You will find this one value among the three values embossed on any American coin. Liberty, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and in God We Trust. NOTICE No guarantee of equality of outcome was ever included in America's value system because it is the ENEMY of liberty.

Basically I am a Republican because I believe the smaller the government the larger the individual's role in the scheme of things and therefore the greater the influence of the Gospel. Par contre, the larger the STATE the smaller (more insignificant) the individual--and the farther we are from he founding fathers' philosophical and political ideals.Basic Biblical Principles violated by the Left:You know, I need to add that I believe envy is a sin--right up there with witchcraft according to the apostle Paul. Class envy that fuels the Left is a sin that violates the 10th Commandment.

Do you Believe that Romney can win the election and tell us why?

I believe Romney can win. I'm not sure if he can do it with the news media as biased as they are, but We are all nervous about the huge debt crisis and so far, Romney is the only one with the plan to stabilize and reinvigorate the economy--developing our own oil resources for example. Sorry I didn't answer this one earlier. Also sorry for the typographical errors. I was in a hurry ad just writing and writing as the thoughts were flowing...
